Drug Abuse

We are writing this because we are concerned about the drug abuse among children.

We realize that what we act now affects our health in years to come.  Drug abuse may start while people are very young. Because of this, our country supports health education. It declares a war on the improper use of drugs. People are encouraged to carry out a healthy life.

On the contrary, the spread of illegal drugs is now increasing. Not only adults consume them, but also teenagers and even children are affected by the drug abuse. Nowadays, sellers often get closer to this young generation. They often give the drugs for free to children, before finally they made them addicts. To make matters worse, TV programs often present a completely different message. Nearly, 80% of its shows display bad images representing the drug abuse.

We all know that TV show is powerful and influential. On the other side, parents find it hard to defend against the pressures created by these shows. Children become the worst victims of the trick of the television industry.

For the hours when the children are the main audience, TV shows must be made to reinforce, not weaken, the message about the war on drug abuse. But on the contrary, it is totally the opposite.To take a lead in calling together the advertisers, TV networks, consumers and public health bodies to decide how this is to be done.
